Be Still/Rest/Wait:

*Psalm 46:10 (NIRV) He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be honored among the nations. I will be honored in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 (BBE) Be at peace in the knowledge that I am God: I will be lifted up among the nations, I will be honoured through all the earth.

Psalm 46:10 (GNT) “Stop fighting,” he says, “and know that I am God, supreme among the nations, supreme over the world.”

Psalm 46:10 (NAS) “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

*Ps 37:7(NLT) Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

Psalm 37:7 (CJB) Be still before ADONAI; wait patiently till he comes. Don’t be upset by those whose way succeeds because of their wicked plans.

*1 Samuel 12:16 (CJB) “Now therefore, hold still; and see the great deed which ADONAI will perform before your very eyes.

1 Samuel 12:16 (LEB) So then take your stand again and see this great thing that Yahweh [is going to] do before your eyes.

*Exodus 14:13 (DBY)  Fear not: stand still, and see the salvation of Jehovah, which he will work for you to-day;

*Psalm 5:3 (BBE) My voice will come to you in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I send my prayer to you, and keep watch.

*Psalm 38:15 (CJB) For it is in you, ADONAI, that I hope. You will answer, Adonai my God.

*Isaiah 64:4 (CJB) No one has ever heard, no ear perceived, no eye seen, any God but you. You work for him who waits for you.

Isaiah 64:4 (CSB) From ancient times no one has heard, no one has listened, no eye has seen any God except You, who acts on behalf of the one who waits for Him.

*Hosea 12:6 (CEB) But you! Return to your God with faithful love and justice, and wait continually for your God.

Hosea 12:6 (CJB) So you, return to your God; hold fast to grace and justice; and always put your hope in your God.

Hosea 12:6 (ESV) “So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.”

Hosea 12:6 (NCV) You must return to your God; love him, do what is just, and always trust in him as your God.

Hosea 12:6 (NLT) So now, come back to your God. Act with love and justice, and always depend on him.

 

*Romans 8:23 (CJB) and not only it, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons – that is, to have our whole bodies redeemed and set free.

Romans 8:23 (CEB) And it’s not only the creation. We ourselves who have the Spirit as the first crop of the harvest also groan inside as we wait to be adopted and for our bodies to be set free.

*Psalm 90:17 (CSB) Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish for us the work of our hands- establish the work of our hands!

Psalm 90:17 (CJB) May the favor of Adonai our God be on us, prosper for us all the work that we do -yes, prosper the work that we do.

*Psalm 116:7 (BBE) Come back to your rest, O my soul; for the Lord has given you your reward.

*Isaiah 57:2 (CEB) They will find peace; those who walk in straight paths will find rest on their burial beds.

Jeremiah 6:16 (CJB) Here is what ADONAI says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask about the ancient paths, ‘Which one is the good way?’ Take it, and you will find rest for your souls

Jeremiah 6:16 (NLT) This is what the LORD says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.

 

*Jeremiah 50:34 (BBE) Their saviour is strong; the Lord of armies is his name: he will certainly take up their cause, so that he may give rest to the earth and trouble to the people of Babylon.

Jeremiah 50:34 (CEB) Yet their redeemer is strong; the LORD of heavenly forces is his name. He will surely defend their cause and give them rest in the land. But he will unsettle the people of Babylon.
